Greek Vase ( Visual )

In classics, we have been learning about olympian myths. I have turned my focus on the Greek god Aphrodite. Aphrodite is the ancient Greek goddess of sexual love and beauty, identified with Venus by the Romans. She was known primarily as a goddess of love and fertility and occasionally presided over the marriage.

Here is my Greek vase that I started last week and drew on my iPad. I added some effect on the vase. In this drawing basically, Aphrodite is riding a swan with love.

  1. This has such fine detail in the drawing Sheen it could be an authentic Greek vase, nice use of symbolism with the swan - do you know the Leda and the swan [Zeus] story.
