Volcano Research

- The column of ashes and lava fountains were spewed again with an interval of 4 to 5 hours. Firebombs and rockfalls could also be observed and sound from the eruption could be heard.
- The famous eruption that killed 2,000 people and preserved the city of Pompeii for hundreds of years under many tons of volcanic ash unfolded in much the same way explosion, ash raining down, ash raining down, the air so thick that it's hard to breathe and then finally a pyroclastic flow.

Wind racer
In science, we did a wind racer. In my group, we did teamwork and working out how to build the wind racer. Our racer was looking good but after to wind the wind racer it failed it move a little. It was fun and exciting.
In first we plan the wind racer how to make it and how we design it. We plan on how big to make. The first try we did was failed it moved and second it failed again. We use paper, cardboard, and tape. We use a lift blower to use to test the wind racing.

Investigating levers
Aim: To investigate the advantage of using a lever to lift a load.
Equipment: 30 cm, a pencil, 20 marbles, blue tak.
Method:
1. Tape the two cups to either end of the ruler centered on the 2 cm and 28 cm mark.
2. Place the pencil under the ruler at the 15 cm mark. The pencil will act as the pivot point.
3. Add 10 marbles to the cup at the zero ends of the ruler.
4. Add marbles one by one to the other cup ( at the 30 cm end ) until the cups are balanced.
5. Record how many marbles were needed.
Results:

Conclusion:
You need less marble as it gets closer to the fulcrum to make them even.

How hydraulics work
The fact that liquids don't compress easily incredibly useful. If you've ever fied a water pistol, you've used this idea already. You've probably noticed that it takes some effort to press the trigger of a water pistol. When you press the trigger, you're having to work quite hard to force the water out through a narrow nozzle. You're actually putting pressure on the water and incompressible, water pistols would,t work properly.

Acid Rain
When fossil fuels such as coal, oil and natural gas are burned, carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and sulfuric dioxide escape into the air. These molecules dissolve in the water in the clouds and make the rainwater more acidic than normal. When this happens, it is called acid ain

Corrosion - Science
What are you investigating? I'm investigating about what gonna happen to the nail coated with nail polish, magnesium, calcium chloride, saltwater, water, and oil. To see what gonna happen after you leave a minute
what do you think will happen? I think the nail gonna be rust
What is corrosion? Metals are exposed to the environment they can deteriorate or break down.
Observation:
- Nail coated nail polish
The nail was rusty at the top and the part with coated is not.
- Nail coated oil
The nail was not rusty and it's still the same.
- Nail coated Water
The nail water very rusty
- Nail coated Calcium chloride

Atomic Science
In science were doing the periodic table of elements and the protons, neutrons, and electron.
I've learned about some of the periodic table and the 3 elements and how they combined.
The Atoms had 3 part Protons, Neutrons, and Electron. Electron is tiny particles that have a negative electrical charge -. Protons are much larger and heavier than an electron and have the opposite charge. Neutrons are large and have a similar mass to protons.
Elements are more than 100 different types of atoms. Each element has its own name. For example Carbon, Oxygen and Gold are all elements. Each element is given its own special symbol. Some elements retain the symbol based on their old Latin name, even though the name of the element has now changed into a more English one.
Chemical change and Physical change are two types of changes that occur in substances. Chemical changes occur when a new substance is formed. When a chemical change occurs there are certain signs to look for. Physical change is not a permanent change. You can easily get back the material that you started with.
