How does tone work in film?
The tone is literally meant brightness. There are 3 ways that can affect visual tone lighting, exposure and art direction. Lighting is use when the lighting scheme is altered and the tone changes along on the character we see the character and creating a larger than life silhouette. as the lighting darkens we brace for impact. Exposure is controlling contrast of brightness. Art direction can also control the brightness and feel of the scene using props, set dressing and wardrobe. You can control the scene by controlling the brightness. The tips you might use the tone plan out what tonal range you want, and integrate in storyboards. There's a meaning behind the tone if it becomes dark it means depressed and if it lights it means happiness.
How does the over the shoulder shot work?
First is to connect to your characters second is disconnect characters
When the script is saying connect characters it means that you gonna use over the shoulder shot and if you wanna use disconnect shot use single shot to signal isolation. The effect of over the shoulder is to show the actor what he does.
How does film blocking work in film?
Film blocking is the precise staging of actors in performance in terms of cinema it's where you place your actors in the frame. There are three visual elements to think about space, shape, and lines. In the shape it comes with emotional qualities and assumptions, circle feel safer and inclusive, square create limited space boxing someone in, and triangle are sharp they feel aggressive but it also has an apex.  The two things can help is subtext and contrast.
How does camera movement work in film? 
It's important to know what tools are gonna use in the film. The camera movements are use is the pan, the tilt, the zoom, the dolly, the reverse dolly zoom, the pedestal shot, crane or boom shot, Steadicam or gimbal, rack focus and lots more. They are used for the different shot, not just a stable shot.

A Dutch angle is used by using noticeable tilt on the camera x-axis. Directors often use a dutch angle to signal something disorienting, unsettling. There are 3 things to do Identify the movement, consider the movement and enhance the movement. When you read a good script but there are some moments where the techniques come in handy.
How do visual motifs work in film?
Motif is like a design that consist of recurring shapes or color, a theme that is repeated and it is a general background or the theme surrounding a topic. The reason of the motif is that power to take those disparate symbols and themes and link them together creating deeper meaning in the story. How does a POV or POT shot work?

It analyst and evaluation of films and their medium. It can be divided into journalistic criticism such as appears regularly in newspaper articles and magazines and other popular, media outlets also criticism by film scholar that is informed by film theory.
How does the insert shot work in film?
Insert shot is an isolated shot that focuses on specific detail within a scene. There are three things to focus on composition, colour, and timing. Composition shot size, shot angle, and camera movement all play into how the viewer will feel about the insert shot. Colour is used by basic principles of color to draw attention to specific points within your insert shot. Timing to determine the ideal moment to cut to the insert and how long you'll need to linger.
How does production design work in film?
Is the planning and creation of sets, costumes, mattes, and miniatures according to an overall concept articulated by the production designer in collaboration with the director.
How does colour work in film?
Colour can affect us emotionally, psychologically and even physically, often without us becoming aware. The colour in the film is it can build harmony or tension within a scene. Bring attention to the key theme. When telling a story the colours gonna use is the reactions, focus to significant details, tone of the movie, represent character traits, and show changes or arcs in the story.
How do establish shots work in film?

It works in a new location and tone. The three tips envision your shot, plan your shoot and be efficient.

The idea that the director is the author and primary creative force behind the movie.
