The Egyptian invented eye makeup as far back as 4000 b.c. They combined soot with a lead mineral called galena to create a black ointment known as kohl. Both man and women wore eye makeup; believing it could cure eye diseasing and keep them from falling victim to eye evil.
Its made of soot with a lead mineral to create a black ointment. They even combined the galena and malachite to tint the ointment.
In nowadays they put a lot of cosmetics from different kinds like foundation, concealer, highlight, eyeshadow, eyeliner and etc. It's really different back then compared nowadays.
